In Summer 2025, Midcity Mercado piloted a Legacy Art Exhibition where thirteen interns were mentored by five professional artists to produce multimedia work. The program demonstrated the impact of mentorship and cultural storytelling.

The next phase will become an eight-week paid artist residency supporting four local artists whose work explores cultural survival and tradition in West Adams. The residency will culminate in a public exhibition and recognition at the Annual Gala.
